Day Trip To Koh Larn Was talking to a girl in a bar and the conversation came around to what other places in Thailand had I visited other than Pattaya. I rattled off a short list – Bangkok, Phitsanulok, Nakhon Si Thammaratt, Phuket, Koh Samui, Had Yai, Korat, and a few others. She asked me if I had ever been to Koh Larn. I told her “No” and she told me she had never been either. Well that did it. I immediately invited her to go the next day. She was beside herself and, at first, did not believ... Sanctuary Of Truth The 3 or 4 trips I have had to Pattaya, I have gone out on at least one trip. These have been difficult as waking up at noon is early for me while on holiday. But, I have made it a point to see at least one point of interest and have had a good time everywhere I have gone. The first time I did this, I visited the Sanctuary of Truth. I had never heard of this place and couldn’t recall ever seeing it mentioned at all on the Internet – that has changed – but at the time there... The Best Plan Is No Plan I can be fairly anal when making plans. In my job, I live by the calendar in Outlook. Meetings, Conferences, Training and the daily routine are all governed by my calendar. I do the same thing when going on vacation. I know that a vacation is a time to relax and not watch the clock. But, I still like to have some sort of schedule to get the most out of my 2 ½ week holiday. Planning works well for me everywhere except for Pattaya. I haven’t quite figured out why – I just kn... He will also want to know how long he should stay at each place – if he goes to both. As a season traveler to Thailand for over 30 years, I tend to be a bit cynical and advise most to just go straight to Pattaya. I love Thai food and eat my share of rice and noodles with all the other spicy goodies that go along with them, but I also like to sample food from around the world. Pattaya is the perfect place to do this....
