First Friday in the downtown Arts District is a place to rub shoulders with interesting Las Vegas bohemians and participate in a 5000 person street fair. • Airboat with Captain Gator Bruce
Wow! What a ride, 90 minutes of amazing scenery, wildlife, and fun. As we were riding out to our embarkation point my mother was so excited she said “I can’t wait to get on the boat, it will be loud but I want to go where airboats go.” When asked where airboats go she said, “I don’t know, but they take you where you can’t go by foot.” That was a prophetic statement.
  • Fabulous Downtown Las Vegas
I love downtown Las Vegas the food and drinks are great and everything is cheaper than on the strip. Don’t park in the public parking garage; park in one of the casino garages they are free, just validate your casino parking pass at the cage. Validating your parking ticket is easy; the machine in Binions is sitting on the shelf right outside the cashier’s cage.
  • Bryce Canyon at Wintertime
Bryce Canyon is my favorite National Park. I love the hoodoos and the surreal landscape of the canyon, but visiting in the winter was a real treat. The canyon was pristine and unoccupied, not to mention visually stunning.

A great place to discover Hawaiian history; this is also referred to as the City of Refuge. In ancient Hawaii kapu breakers and refugees could flee to this city and once they were inside the walls they were safe.
  • Prague Old World Charm
Prague had long been a vacation destination that I dreamed about. I was thrilled to realize that the reality is even more enchanting than the dream. Our Prague vacation was fun for the entire family. We saw castles, churches, operas, and cemeteries. Now is the time to go before west transforms this medieval city.
The prices are still reasonable and the locals are friendly.
